Reading Rotations

Right know are class is doing rotations. 

TK and Zh are blogging.  

The kids are working on their rotations like reading response, and word work, and listening to stories and book club.

Reading rotations help us with our fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and understanding of words.

Wacky Thursday

Wacky Thursday... Team 184 and the whole school had Wacky Thursday  we got dress really wacky. And just to show you how it was were going to be random. Popcorn, gwyn, lollipops, ubyyyyyyymrea6t8cx, kay.

Concert FUN!

C.I.S came in and put on a concert themed rock for us. Some people even saw their brothers & sisters, like G.M., L.S.H, and T.K.

The C.I.S  played songs like We will rock you and Another one bites the dust.

Planting Seeds

Dear Readers,

Team 184 has just planted seeds in the classroom. First Mrs. Kaufman gave us three beans then a ziploc bagand a paper towel. Then we folded  the paper towel and put it in the bag then she poured water into the bag then. Fianlly we put the beans right in the middle and she taped them on the windows.   Today we planted them in dirt in a cup.  They are beans plants.

Area and Perimeter

Team 184 has been doing perimiter and area! We actully did an experiment..... well kind of. First Mrs. Kaufman gave us all a math packet that had like 7 pages in it. We were going to try to fill up a big sqare with all of the pages we do.So we had 20 minutes to work on it.After we were done with it we went outside and mrs kaufman brought rocks and shels in a bucket.She called our names and estimated that we were going to fill up 1 big whole square.So she called all of our names and our estimate was wrong we only filled up a half of the square. written by teammate H.R.

Poem

In Team 184 we recorded the poem I Love the Look of Words. It is by: Maya Angelou. It goes like this. Popcorn leaps, popping from the floor of a hot black skillet and into my mouth. Black Words leap, snapping from the white page. Rushing into my eyes sliding into my brain which gobbles them the way my tongue and teeth chomp the buttered popcorn. When I have stop reading ideas from the word stay stuck in my mind, like the sweet smell of butter perfuming my fingers long after the popcorn is finished. I love the book and the look of words the weight of ideas that popped into my mind I love the tracks of new thinking in my mind. THE END.

Class Dojo

We are now starting Class Dojo.  It is something that we do for doing better for our reactions, so Mrs.Kaufman has the class iPad with it on. She watches us while we are a class together, and if she sees us do something right she ads a point to our Class Dojo avatar.  If she sees us do something wrong she takes one away. The class DOJO is a good way to be better students.

when you lose too many points you go in to the negatives.
