Special Events

In music we all tried out for a part in I Think I'm Gonna Like It Here. We all were really good. Another special event is MRS. YODER IS HAVING A BABY BOY IN 3 WEEKS!!!!!!!!! Also we ARE GETTING READY FOR ISTEP NEXT WEEK!!!!!! Next Monday we are gonna be able to know our parts for Annie. Another special thing is we have had kids teach lunch and learn.

In team 184 we just watch a 20 minute video. It talked about are you can get sap from a tree. What I learned is that how you can get sap is you screw a hole in the tree, then you put something to hold the bucket. So you put the bucket on the hook you put to hold the tree. When the bucket is full with sap you empty it into a bigger container. Then they boil it for a long time. Then they make into maple syrup.  

Writing

Today team 184 is doing rainbow writing. I know what your wondering what is rainbow writing. Well im going to tell you. It is whair you use rainbow colors of the rainbow. And the colors are red,orange,yellow,green,blue,igogo and violet.

Swimming

Team 184 is going swimming at the Concord High School in March the 11-22. MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD HAS A SWIM SUIT and TOWEL. They will be testing us on different levels. We are going to take a bus there and back. by            A.B

PARTY

Team 184 is having a Valentine party!!!
We have a box for our Valentines too!!All of our class brought Valentines.Zoey brought cupcakes,Tommy
brought juice.It was a great time to get epic things from the classmates.You might like a Valentine party in your class and have a great time with all your friends try it sometime with someone.We got a bunch of candy so parents beware hyper kids on the run. If you did not get candy ask someone from the class to give you candy.

New Songs and a New Poem

Mrs.Kaufman has been gving us songs on Mondays to sing on Fridays. The songs are Seasons, Bully-proof, and The Climb and she gave us a poem. The poem was called An Angle's Picnic.  And it was by Thomas Alva Edison!

Morning question

In the morning we have to answer the question on the board before the announcements come on. Yesterday our Question was do you know what you'd found in an atlas. Some times our question are about writing, reading.Today our question is do you know what you'd found in a theasaurus.Then we read the question of the day and we anwser yes our no for our anwser.

Reading Rotations

This week in rotations Mrs.Kaufman is  letting  us choose our rotations. We have to have 2 RR's [Reading Responces], 2 WW [Word Work], 2 LTS's [ Listen Too Stories] 2 PR's but she chooses our book club and iPad . Rainbow Writing

In team 184 we are doing rainbow writing.

We pick a topic to write about. 

Here is what we do: we choose the topic

of the web and we write the title in the middle.

If we are writing about stop bullying others we put 3 points to tell about we are writing about.

Then we put 3 reasons why we need

to tell to stop bullying others.

We almost do the same thing

but we put 3 more to tell why.

After that we do somthing for the end.

For the end we copy the topic into the end.

The Power of One by Teammates #3 and #16

S.I.L. (Vocabulary: Study, Illustrate, Label)

Today in team 184 Mrs.Kaufman did this new thing for vocabulary. Do you want to know how to do it? What we do is get a piece of paper and we fold it  then we read our vocabulary we study, illustrate, label or write  a caption. 

So, if the word is fiery we would study, illustrate, and we would label or we write a caption. Then we do as many as we can. 

So the next word will be immediately, so we would do illustrate or we can do a label or write a caption. You don't have to do vocabulary, you could do spelling words or your own words. If you might not think it is cool and you try it you might like it.
